A bit about us:
New activities arrived in Bocas del
Toro September 2004. Keith and Deborah Beaubien of Land, Sea &
Air Adventures, offering the tourist a wide array of
activities to enjoy while visiting. One can learn to SCUBA dive
with a PADI Introductory course in just a few hours or take a
full certification
http://www.padi.com. If scuba diving isn't your thing, how about
snorkeling on some of the most beautiful shallow reefs around?
We also have CLEAR bottom kayaks
http://www.clearkayak.com. The only see through type boat
in Bocas! Take a single seat or share the experience in a double
seat kayak. When the winds pick up try your luck with sailing.
It's easy in this 10 ft. Walker Bay two person sailboat. We also
have 4-wheelers (ATV's) to tour about the island. Two roads
going out of town to opposite ends of the island. Stop and see
the Bat Caves on your way to Bocas del Drago. At Drago, you can
stop at the Starfish Beach and see hundreds of starfish or sand
dollars. Afterwards why not have lunch at the restaurant. On
your way back to town, take a left and check out the beautiful
deep white sand beaches of Paunch or Bluff, where the surfers
go! (For preservation of the turtle nesting and protecting the
beach from destruction, we DO NOT ALLOW beach riding with the
ATV's). We have waterskiing, wakeboarding and tubing! If you
never have water-skied before, we have a 'boom training bar' to
learn on. With over 25 years experience, Keith has water skied
and managed professional ski shows world wide for thirteen
seasons. Also, a
former competitive barefoot water-skier. We think the most
exciting of all is our SEAIR FLYING INFLATABLE BOAT ultra lights
http://www.seair.com. We
pilot you while you sit back and enjoy the sights. Taking off
from the water in this 10.5 ft. two seat inflatable boat,
powered by a ROTAX 582, 65 hp. engine
http://www.kodiakbs.com. The strutted 19 meter
delta wing made by NORTH WING
http://www.northwing.com is nothing short of awesome! After a pre-flight safety check we taxi out to
open water before accelerating into the wind. We have an average
cruise speed of 45 mph. Once up in the air we can spot dolphins,
fish, the reefs, a clear view of the mangroves, ocean, mountains
and of course Bocas town. We can fly a few feet above the water
or as high as 8000 feet. (We don't fly that high as the best
viewing is around 500 ft). Landing on the water is just as
exciting as take-off. We slow down to reduce altitude and skim
across the water once again. If you've never experienced flying
in an ultra light, this is the best!
